The history of Fields Plumbing & Heating is about the history of Pinehurst itself.
J. Ellis Fields started in the business as a boy in 1907, with Pinehurst Inc., who
then provided plumbing and heating services to the hotels and homes of Pinehurst.
Back then the streets were sand, and the resort was closed during the hot summers
Mr. Fields, along with his daughter and two sons started their own business in 1948
